Presidio Hospital

A friend and I jumped the fence and snuck around the building a bit, however we had a hard time finding any entrance. There was one in the back, but that was guarded. The only two other ways I could think of was either jumping the fence on the bridge over to the roof, or climbing up the pole leading to the fire escape. If anyone has any advice on getting in, I would love to hear it. Any tips on when it is and isn't guarded would be appreciatted too. Thanks Alan

Is it gaurded 24hrs? Everytime I've gone there, there is a gaurd on duty, but I've only gone during the day.

Well here is the thing, there are two readily accessible entrances. One is the main entrance which is obviously out of the question, the second is a back door on the north east side both are guarded during the day. I live about five minutes away so I have checked the front entrance until 4:00 a.m. and there are always one or two guards. I have never been around to the back at night but I would assume if they will pay someone to guard it, they will probably pay to have an alarm installed. So it seems entry will require some creativity. I would much rather go during the day for photography purposes anyway.

I have heard that there is an alarm and when triggered, the cops just swing bye and check it out. But that was before the 24-7 gaurds. Now, I'm sure a gaurd goes and searches the place out.

Yeah they aren't the most vigilant bunch. We were about twenty yards from one of them, and the whole north west side of the building isn't watched. Either way, it is a large complex which really works to your advantage. Without a dog, there is no way they could find you if you found a good hiding spot once inside. I just assumed there must be someone out there who has done this since the guards showed up, and I was wondering if there was something I wasn't seeing. To me it looks like the fire escape in the north west corner is probably the best way in. It is hidden from the road and both guards, all you have to do is scale about twenty feet of pole like a seasoned stripper and then crawl into one of the open windows. I really wish I had found this place before the guards though.

I was there a few years ago, and have a cool video of some of the inside. I went with 6 of my friends and we ended up being chased by a dog....but most of us sucsessfully hid...we got in though the widow in the kitchen. Its fairly high up, but not too hard to climb, if you have some friends. I would love to go back. We found all kinds of crazy stuff there. Anyone come upon a empty bottle of captain morgan?

I got in there last year. spooky as fuck! entered through the north side, the door is often chained, but this time someone had recently chopped it. we were lucky. you should bring wire cutters next time! spent a good few hours in there. found the radiology rooms on the ground level floor, got up some stairs to the kitchen, seemed like we got to atleast the 5th floor or so . www.greenspun.com/bboard/q-...ch-msg.tcl (these two websites are where we found all the info from.) www.fecalface.com/SF/index.php

I recently scoped out the hospital. My buddy and I are planning to get in there. There is a guard out front, who doesn't seem to leave his car. Driving around the back there was another car parked inside the fence. I did not see anyone near it though. It as it is there was a homeless dude scoping the place out as well. I am looking for any new info regarding access points into the hospital, and/or anyone who can possibly debunk the current rumors about the security of the place. How often do they patrol? Do they have guards insode th building? I have heard rumors that there are heat, or infrared sensors in the main stairwell now? Access ladders have been greased? Are they really going this far to keep people out? Any help or suggestions would help.

I've heard those rumors as well. I would also agree that it *appears* the best way in would be the fire escape in the NW corner. And you would either need to climb the pole (probably very difficult) or bring a way to climb up there with you. I have seen the car that parks in that corner only during the day.

One other thing.. I wouldn't try climbing around the N. bridge fence without a harness and 4 carabiners on either ends of 2 short ropes. Three ropes would be much safer. And only try that if you know how to try a good knot. I considered free climbing it and decided those metal spikes were just to much. Whoever made that fence hates life...
